Joe and Sarah first met in 2003 at Fort Irwin, CA where Joe was stationed in the Army. He had previously been stationed in Germany with Sarah's brother, Tyler. They officially begain their relationship in September of the same year.

Just before Joe left the Army in February 2004 they got engaged. Joe proposed at the Los Angeles Latter Day Saints temple in front of the reflection pool overlooking the city. It was official, they were getting married.

Joe and Sarah were married on May 15th, 2004 at the We Kirk O' the Heather chapel in Las Vegas and honeymooned in Mammoth Lakes, CA.

Only a few weeks after the honeymoon Sarah discovered she was pregnant and poor Joe had to get a job! He began working as an Information Technology Technician (He fixed computers). Bella Michelle Gerew was born on January 28th 2005 at the Los Robles Hospital in Thousand Oaks, CA. She was 19 inches long and 7lbs even.

In August 2005, Joe began going to college at night for Computer Science at the California Lutheran University.

Sarah discovered herself bearing yet another child in February 2006. Around the same time Joe was involuntarily activated back to active duty status to serve in Iraq. Joe filed an appeal requesting for exemption but was denied. Another appeal was filed and eventually granted after 9 months of paperwork and fighting capital hill.

Around the same time, Joe began work as a Developer for VRC, a insurance software development company in Westlake, CA. It was a good month for the Gerews.

Clara Lynn Gerew was born on Novemeber 12th, at the same hospital as Bella. She was 20 inches long and weighed 7llbs 10oz. And then there were four............
